Loyally Books

Hello,

I am looking for copies of the Loyally Volumes for the Tau Chapter (University of Kansas). Ours are damaged and we would like to have better copies. They are no longer in print and we would be willing to pay for them. If anyone knows where we may be able to find copies. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Welcome to Greek Chat! I would check with ADPi HQ. Contact member services-- Sally or Amanda.

You might also look on ebay-- I have seen a few copies here and there. Chapters that have liquidated their assets upon closing may also sell these items at an estate sale or give them to other chapters (our housing director, who was our chapter founding president, used to come around with a silver bowl and scare us-- it had belonged to a chapter that had closed and she'd rescued it from auction.)

Good luck! You may also want to order a copy of "Sisters" -- there are still some available for sale.

* the above wasn't meant to be insensitive to closed chapters. Please don't take it as such.

We have spoken to EO and they don't have any to offer. I am an adviser and I belive we have a copy of the "Sisters" book. We we're hoping to find new copies of loyally, since it has some great passages and more indepth history. We have looked on ebay, and we will continue to keep our eyes open. Thanks!

ACK! Just days ago, there was a set on ebay, $40 "Buy it now" price! That's your best place to look. Also, some chapters have more than one copy, and they might be willing to sell y'all a set.

Good luck!

try abebooks.com - it's a used book sales arena - you can search for them by title...that's where I got I & II...still searching for a good price for III though.

Thanks! I bid on it. Can you add my ebay name to the list.

haha27. Hopefully I won't get bid up to high!

heah27 09-20-2005 10:32 PM

Are you sure it's ending or did it just get listed?

I've added you to the list - Good luck on the Loyallys!!

Oh, and if you're not familiar with ebay, try to be online when the auction is near the end - that's when people will snipe in, at the last moment!

ETA: I guess what I posted (in my excitement) was confusing - it's near the end of the list, but just listed.

Ebayers, has anyone else noticed the nutjob who wants $295.00 for Volume 3 of Loyally? Methinks he'll be waiting a loooooong time for that!

Yeah, I choked on my coffee while reading THAT auction!!

I've searched some of the used bookstore websites & I haven't seen if for less that $185 - higher if it's been signed by Miss Blake. They jumped up in price after her passing. And to think - in the late 80s, early 90s, you could still buy them from EO at $30.
