POLL: How often do you wear your badge?

I couldn't find a thread that asked this question. How often would you say you wear your badge? I probably wear mine 5-6 times a month including formal chapter meeting, formal Panhellenic speakers, and ritual events of course.

I wear mine to chapter meetings but being the chapter adviser I don't wear it as much as I probably should. I like to wear mine though to AOII weddings...fun times!

Not as much as I'd like to. I forgot to pack mine for the Founder's Day celebration, but I borrowed one from a sister. And I wore it when my little sis' mom got initiated as an alumnae. I will definitely wear it when I help my chapter with recruitment!

When I am officially a teacher I will probably wear my quill to work from time to time, when I am appropriately dressed. However, I wear my AXiD lavaliere ALL the time.

I only get to wear my Badge a couple of times a year; Founders' Day, Officers' Installation and a formal tea my Alumnae Chapter does. I wish I had more opportunity to wear it, though.

On a semi-related note, my sister, a Kappa, got married last week and several of her sisters got together and gave her a luncheon a few days beforehand. I saw the pictures, and they all had their Badges on (except for my sister, who says she forgot to wear it!).

ETA: Thanks for starting this thread, Jocelyn! It makes me want to run to my jewelry box and put on my Badge! Of course, I can't do that since I'm wearing "gym attire", not Badge Attire ;)

I wear it at least once a month, when I attend formal chapter as an adviser. More when we have Founders Day celebrations, ritual events or alumnae meetings.

Haha...
The answer is never. Our alum meetings are very casual, so no one dresses up & I felt totally ridiculous everytime I dressed up...

LoggerTheta 09-02-2005 04:11 PM

I wear mine any time I dress up just to be dressed up. In addition to chapter, and other Theta events. I'm just really proud of my badge, so I wear it as much as I can.

Almost never. :( Appropriate occasions just don't seem to present themselves.

Not enough.

Twice a year for H C and Founders Day!

:(

Banquets, Founders Day, Badge Day, & any formal meetings I attend (which is few & far between). When I get married in January, I'll be wearing my badge underneath my dress as well as pearls & my Pref ring.

Some of our sisters wear their badge on their garter belt. One of our alums a couple years back, gave white embroidered hankies to her graduating class, so they could put their badge on it at their wedding.

As for me - I wear my badge when I am dressed up for meetings and sometimes church and other events.

Now that I'm back in school I don't dress up as often, so I only wear my badge now and then. However, I do like to get it out whenever I'm in Badge Attire.

AOIIalum 09-02-2005 06:23 PM

Anytime I'm dressed appropriately, which unfortunately isn't too often. Life is pretty casual these days, but I wore it at Convention and meetings/alum events in the past year.

Almost all the chapters wear badge attire on Mondays or Tuesdays... so once a week.

once a month
