Question
I was Phi Sig at Theta Theta, left school temporarily- and am thinking of going back. Theta Theta was disbanded I assume ( after I left, so I'm not 100 % sure what happened) but I was wondering if one wanted to, could you start back up a chapter that USED to be at a school?

First you should contact Headquarters and see what is required to re-open the chapter. Also, contact your campus Panhellenic/Greek Advisor and set up an appointment to discussing the situation. There may have been a sanction on the chapter or the chapter just died out after members graduated and did not continue to recruit.
After you get all the information from Headquarters and your Panhellenic/Greek Advisor then go and talk with your campus Panhellenic Council. I'm not sure if the council need to vote on your chapter re-opening or not. Then if all goes well then you are really going to need to up the PR to get girls interested in Phi Sig again. Maybe e-mail alumnae to see if they would be interested in coming back to speak with girls about the chapter. I hope this helps good luck on getting the chapter started again. Epsilon Beta |
When did Theta Theta disband? I never heard about that!
We had a chapter sister who was a transfer from Theta Theta, Katie Hineman... The things you miss! -alison |
