Sister's Birthday
 

So, my little sister just started high school. She's also turning 14 this Sat! In my quest for her present, I started browsing tiffany's website (I'm addicted, sadly :)). Well, I was looking at the picasso loving heart necklace, and so decided to show it to my brother. He thought it was really pretty, and offered to go in on it with me for her birthday!

What are your thoughts? Is it too much for a 14-year old. I really wanted to get her a nice piece of jewelry, and she adores the necklace my boyfriend gave me for my birthday last year. The cost isn't really an issue for my brother or myself, as we both worked many hours this summer.

I thought a heart is a nice symbol, because then she can always remember to stay true to her heart. High school is such a tough time, but she already has this amazing inner strength. I am so proud of her!

I don't think it's too much. I have this necklace - my parents got it for me when i turned 16. It's a beautiful, classic piece that she will be able to wear throughout the years and in my opinion, thats the sign of a good present. Plus, a heart is very symbolic. You mentioned her staying true to her heart - but whenever she wears it she can remember how much her brother and sister love her!
