Greek101.com for Bid Day shirts?

Okay, our sorority is in need of somewhere to purchase our shirts for Bid Day. I found Greek101.com, and found a reasonably priced shirt on there that I was thinking about ordering. But now one of my sisters is complaining about how one of her friends got "screwed over" by Greek101.com.

I would like someone else's opinion, however, have any of you guys had experience with Greek101.com? Good? Bad? Any other sites I could order from? Thanks!

I'm moving this over to Greek Life - you'll probably get more replies over there.

You don't have a local screen printing company you can use?
By the time you pay shipping, etc., the cost might work out better to go local.

Greek101. Overrated and overpriced.

You're better off taking a design that you made on your own to a local t-shirt screener.

Hm, I didn't even think abuot that. But I'm not aware of any screenprinting businesses in the area. I'll google it :)

Also, what do you guys think about GreekGeer?

Seriously, stay away from all those websites. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

What you could buy on Greek101 or GreekGear you could possibly get for almost half at a local company.

Listen up to a long time GCer.

All of them sound good, but come on GC and there will ge someone who can give you + or - on Greek Items.

As OTW said, try to work with a loca supplier. Helps shipping, turn time and if there are problems!!!!

Locals will bust a lot better Butt than Big Names or so they think!:)

it's probably illegal, but i don't care

the local company here takes the tiniest picture, scans it or something and came make the t-shirts for like nine dollars a shirt

I just ordered our recruitment shirts from Greek 101 and yes, if you decide to go with a "fancier" shirt (fitted, special fabic, etc.) they will be rather expensive. However, I orderd regular women's fit t-shirts and they were under $9. I shopped around and this was honestly the best price. Also, the guy who I worked with was very helpful. So, a local place may be cheaper, but if you are just looking for regular tees, Greek 101 isn't bad.

I also have had really good experiences with customink.com. Same thing with pricing, but the staff there is also very helpful.

my chapter ordered shirts from them about a year or two ago and they just kind of forgot about our order and they were very hard to get in touch with. They didn't charge us or anything but we had really wanted the shirts. My guess is they probably would have paid more attention to us if we were a larger chapter with a larger order.

I would definitely recommend going local - check out a phone book or look around in town. My chapter got two t-shirts for everyone last fall for $8 per person total, and we could get sizes ranger from a youth small to adult XL.

Since you're a local group, I suggest going with a a local company so you can physically see someone about your shirts/order. From what I've heard, alot of the larger companies (Greek101 etc) tend to screw up on orders if you're not a national group. That stuff is kind of over priced anyway. If you're interested, we've used Fratrow, Blue Cotton, and Custom Ink before and they are all excellent.

i don't know about greek101.com, but i LOVE customink.com

you can design your shirts yourself or have an artist do it...i've never had a problem and they give you a price quote which has always been lower than what my local screenprinting place charged.

i went to the aforementioned local shop for 2 shirts last year for rush and i wish i had gotten them online.

wow, that sounds like an ad. but really, i love this site and anytime i make shirts for my chapter (i've designed the majority of them over the past 2 years) i always at least go there first

Well, I was a part of a national group in a large chapter, and they still screwed up our order. One of our sisters was dating one of the salespeople, and so we always got our shirts from them for a while, and honestly those are all the shirts I don't wear. Our Anchor Splash shirts turned out pink and green. I mean, no offense to Delta Zeta, but you don't exactly want your philanthropy shirts to come out looking like another sorority's colors. We also got our Dance Marathon shirts from them (which I warned against, because I had problems with them before) and they are really thin and cheap. The other thing that I really hate is that they put a big Greek101.com on their shirts. It might have been because they "sponsored" AnchorSplash and Dance Marathon, but honestly I'm not sure how they sponsored us... we still had to pay for the shirts! I just remember for our semi-formal shirts we decided to get them from somewhere else because of all our bad experiences, and they ended up being the same price for higher quality (from a local printer). I would really suggest not using them.

Promte-U Graphics is a great choice for getting shirts done. Their website is promote-u.com. My local gets our shirts almost exclusively from Promote-U. They have a lot of options in terms of shirt style, etc. And the minimum order size isn't outrageous.

Greek101 has screwed up our shirts for 2 years in a row, and each year they promise that next year we will get a big discount or whatever. They're overpriced as well.
