Art Website - DeviantArt.com!
 

For those of you who are artists or art appreciators, I found an interesting website over the weekend called "DeviantArt.com"

Opening an account is free. You may upload your artwork (unlimited), find friends, add people to your watch list, browse and select favorites, participate in chat and forums, join interest groups, as well as participate in contests.

The artwork displayed throughout the site ranges from traditional art (drawing and painting), to anime and comic book characters, to digital art/photography, to jewelry and other crafts, to origami. You can even upload your poetry/prose if you are a writer.

Also, DeviantArt has a print account which allows you to select your pieces and make it available for print. There's a Basic and Premium account. Upload your artwork and make them available for various print sizes, magnets, and coasters.

You do not have to use DeviantArt to sell your prints. You may use http://www.cafepress.com/ for that since they have more merchandise available where you can have a print on, i.e. T-shirts, bags, mousepads, stickers, clocks, etc.

Another feature is the ability to find a "neighbor." Simply enter your long/lat coordinates and press the neighbors button. Your results will show you the top 125 or so "Deviants" near you.

I knew someone would like it! I am on this site everyday! I like to browse. My favorite style is traditional abstract art...this is the style I mostly create ;) I look forward to buying some art materials and start uploading more pieces soon!

Answer: Go to their website (i.e girlfit.deviantart.com) and click on the "devWatch" button. This will take you to your Friends page where you can check what you are interested in getting a notice for (i.e. journal update, new deviation uploaded, etc.)
