I could have sworn there was already a thread on this, and if there is, please point me in that direction. I did a search.

Did any famous or prominent people attend your high school?

At Coolidge High School in DC:

Hugh Price, former National Executive Director of the National Urban League
Carolivia Herron, author of the children's book Nappy Hair
Jerry Porter, who I guess still plays for the Raiders
Maury Povich (allegedly, I can't find any supporting data on that)
I want to say maybe Goldie Hawn, too.

Forest Hills High School:
Paul Simon
Art Garfunkel
Joey Raymone
Jerry Springer

I know there are more.

Bristol Central High School in Bristol, CT

Adrian Wojnarowski - writer for ESPN.com and correspondent for ESPN

I think that's about it - my high school hasn't really produced anyone famous other than that.

Bronx High School of Science:
5 Nobel Prize winners (don't know which ones)
the guy who pushed someone on the train tracks in NYC a few years ago (although I don't know if that's famous as much as notorious)

Bolingbrook High School:

Probably the only person anyone would know is Robert Farmer, who used to play for the New York Giants. He was a couple years behind me.

There are several women from BHS who have been Luvabulls cheerleaders (for the Chicago Bulls) in recent years. It was almost like BHS Pom Squad/Cheerleaders=direct pipeline to Luvabulls.

Pine Crest School in Florida:

Kelsey Grammar (Frasier)
Wayne Huizenga (owner of Blockbuster and half the professional sports teams in South Florida)

I know there are others, but I can't think of them right now.

The San Diego School For Creative And Performing Arts:

* Ananda Lewis
* Giovanni Samuel, who's on some Nickelodeon Show
* The woman who was the costume for Arnold in Total Recall at the airport (TWO WEEKS!) was a drama teacher for a couple years
*Willie Green: Was on a Nickelodeon show, did some commercials.

It's an arts school, so many alums are still trying to make it.....

Maine East High School

Harrison Ford
Jamie Gertz
Sen. Hilary Rodham Clinton attended 3 yrs and graduated from Maine South due to redistricting when it opened her senior year.

El Paso High School:

Lupe Ontiveros...she was the lady that played Yolanda in the movie Selena.

There are other people that are from El Paso, but I can't say that they went to my high school (my high school is the oldest in the city though).

***Tim Hardaway went to my University, but I dont know if he's from El Paso, or from another place.
***There was this one actor back in the days of black and white TV. He's from El Paso, but I dont remember his name, just remember he was REALLY tall. lol.


There are more people from my city who are "famous" (especially from back in the day..lol, before around the 40s-60s, but i'd have to ask my mom for the rest of the names)

The most current famous of alum of my high school is Nicole Kea (Scherzinger) from Pussycat Dolls- she is the Hawaiian born one engaged to the guy from 311.

I went to the Youth Performing Arts School and DuPont Manual High for my academics (Split schedule between the two) and there are a ton of broadway and other actors from there... I just can't remember them all it's easy to remember Nicole.. she was there when I was and was voted Most Talented. She was VERY sweet and always beautiful.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS, Parkland, FL:

Steve Klein and Jordan Pundik (A New Found Glory)
Eric Jones (Road Rules South Pacific)
Karamo Brown (Real World Philadelphia)
Maggie Heinen (Swimsuit Model/Hooters Girl of the Year or something like that)

I know there's more that I can't think of right now.

George Washington High- San Francisco, CA

1948- Ollie Matson (NFL Hall of Fame Player)
1953- Lee Merriwether (Miss America/actress)
1954- Johnny Mathis (Singer)
1965- Danny Glover (actor)

*** Side note- My dad went to Galileio High in SF with OJ Simpson! :)

Will Smith went to my cousin's high school, Central High School, in Philly. In one of his songs (I forget which one) he says "big up to Central."

Seminole High School -- Seminole, FL

Ben Kozlowski (recently traded to the Louisville Bats)
Dawn Olivieri (UPN's "The Player")
Jessica Matthews (appeared on "Las Vegas")
Nicole Johnson (Miss America 1999)
Brittany Lincicome (LPGA)

Maury Povich went to the Landon School -- a VERY exclusive all boys pre school in Bethesda, Maryland

And Goldie Hawn and Sylvester Stallone went to Blair high school in Silver Spring, Maryland
