Poll: Large group of friends or a couple close friends
 

Which would you prefer?

Do you like being the popular social butterfly with a lot of friends that you don't get close to or one or two friends that you bond with?

If I had to choose, I'd pick the latter, but I don't know why the two have to be mutually exclusive.

ETA: Since everyone else is taking it both ways, I will too. I like having a few close friends, but also having a large group of friends to go out with, etc.

I would prefer a few close friends, but like sugar and spice, I don't see why you couldn't have both.

I don't care too much about being social. I prefer very few close friends.

I have both and prefer it that way. Couple of very close friends I can spill anything to, and a large group of friends so that there is always somewhere to go, something to do when I feel like it. :)

I use the term sparingly. I have a lot of acquaintances but only a handful of real close friends.
