ATO Tragedy

Two pledges of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity Chapter at UT-San Antonio were killed this weekend when the automobile they were traveling in left the road and struck a tree head on. All three in the vehicle were killed in the accident. One passanger was a freshman at UT-Austin and the other two were freshman at UT-San Antonio. All of them were from the same high school and were longtime friends.

Details are still coming out. SAPD sid there was no initial evidence of alcohol as a contribuiting factor, but is still investigating.

My heart goes out to the brothers of ATO at UT- San Antonio. Three years ago when we had a brother killed in an auto accident they were very supportive of my chapter. For that, I will be forever grateful.

As a sign of support, my undergratuate brothers have chosen to wear pin attire to class and to work, with a ribbon of the ATO's colors on Friday, the day of the funerals.

As more details are released, I'll post a link here. Kinda puts things in perspective, huh?

Such a tragedy.

Thanks for sharing that tragic news, lifesaver. As a parent of a college student, these stories break my heart. My prayers are with their families.

My deepest sympathies to the families and to the ATOs. When things hit so close to home it makes them extra hard to hear, but I hope the brothers stay strong!

My deepest sympathies go to the ATOs and their families involoved. It is a tradegy and I know what it feels like because I lost a Fraternity Brother myself in college that died in a driving accident. I think it was one of the toughest things I've dealt with so far in my life. But life goes on. My thoughts are with them.

Here's a link to the schools info on it. Doesn't really say anything, but I had to pull teeth to get the university's webteam to even post it.

I feel a lose for the ATO Greek Brothere. Anytime I read or hear about any member of the Greek Community being lost, I have a very sad heart. We have lost 7 Brothers to death and I feel we all lose a little in us.
