The Corner Store
 

It's the place you could go to get anything from milk to pickled pig feet. My gandma had a corner store up the street from her house and my favorite things to get were jungle juice and nowandlaters. Every now and again I would get one of those big 'ol 2 and a half pound pickles and munch on it all day. To all who grew up around a corner store, what were some of your favorites.

Those huge pickles!! Plus you always got to chhose the one you wanted!!

Ditto on the pickles. We had three kinds to choose from--kosher dill, sour and hot. Yum.

we'd get pickels, eat down one end then stick a now-n-later in it. also, the corner store would be the only place to get nehi blue and nehi peach! (i wish i had some right now!)

not me, but other folks would get pickeled pigs feet at the corner store.

This thread sent me back to memories from my old house on Buckeye!

My favorites from the corner store were the bags of wax candy. Inside there was this juicy liquid, but we had to chew threw the wax to get to it! We'd also buy now n later's (non lata's LOL), fruities (also know as penny candy)

Those popsicles that are really some juice in the plastic, but when you freeze them the're popsicles and you have to keep pushing it up to eat it (hahahahahahahahahahaha)!

Oh and pop rocks (you know - they crackle in your mouth????).

I remember getting pickles and kool-aid from my corner store. We dipped the pickles in our kool-aid, and went home with our colorful mouths! :p
