We can embrace a joyous thought, for Bro. Johnson's homegoing is bound to cause for a great many to reflect upon their very first EBONY/JET EXPERIENCE.

Brothers, what was your fondest memory of reading Ebony/Jet Magazines? If any of you have a copy of the issue when JAYNE KENNEDY was featured as a Jet Beauty of the Week do all the BROTHERHOOD a favor and POST IT! Jenny Craig could definitely do homegirl some good now.

Anyway, brothers let us remember that an ELDER ALPHAMAN has departed and has left the torch to be carried. We must not DROP the torch EVER!:cool:

My prayers go out to his family. I love both of the magazines and admire a black man that kept it going and looked to the black people to keep the magazine asuccess and he in terms took care of the black community by giving us interesting and important information going on in our communities. Jet was especially my favorite. I am so proud of this family and ee was a great man! He will be missed.

I was saddened and surprised to learn of his passing and my condolences go out to his family. I remember reading about his start in publishing Jet magazine and remembering receiving Ebony every month in our home. A wonderful man leaves a wonderful legacy for us all!

The media did not play this up in my area. I expected more than the standard announcement. I thought it would get the attention like Peter Jennings.
