I got a job!
 

I have been working very hard this summer looking for a teaching job and I've found one! I will be relocating to York PA this weekend to begin a position on Monday (first and second grade learning support). I'm super excited but sad that I'm going to have to miss my chapter meeting on Sunday due to unloading the u-haul. I'm going to remain with my chapter . . . I figure now I commute 2 1/2 hours from Erie, what's a 4 hour drive?

My mom was born in Erie, btw...I hear it's a nice place.

I like the Penninsula and the lake but that's about it; Erie isn't the place I would chose to live the rest of my life.

Mom decided she wouldn't spend the rest of her life there, either. She came down to NOLA and married Dad--and three years later, I came along. :)

Anyway, congrats on the new job, and even more congrats for sticking with your chapter!

Thanks! I love my chapter so much because they're mainly women my age and at relatively the same place in their lives. I love seeing the older chapters but I'm at such a different place in my life that I don't think I would click with them the same way, I wish there were more younger women in Beta.
