Tattoo Design

I'm going to be getting a new tattoo in a month or so. I'm on a bowling league and we get a gift certificate to a tattoo parlor at the end of the season. Anyways I want to get something Italian or Sicilian. For those who know, I was thinking about getting the Sicilian Trinacria.

That's what it looks like, but I'm not sure. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I've looked all over online and I can't really find anything I like. It could be something with the Italian flag, or the image above. Or wht would be great is if someone were really good at drawing and could draw up one for me! I've already asked around to my friends and they have no clue. Thanks!

The really good tattoo artists are just that - artists, and they can work with you on a drawing (well, you talk and they draw) until it is exactly what you want for the tattoo.

If you do that instead of just choosing from the flash they have at the studio, it will be a lot more expensive but you'll be assured of getting exactly what you want.

I have an irrational fear of disembodied heads, so that picture really freaks me out, like a lot.

When I got my first tattoo, I found a guy who did Chinese calligraphy and volunteered to do a few different versions of what I wanted for me. If there's some kind of Italian cultural organization near you (like an Italian Chamber of Commerce or something of the sort), maybe you start there to try to find someone who can design something for you.

Lol I feel that way too about heads. My ex has a few different tattoos featuring heads but my least fave is the shrunken head on a stick. But this is a big symbol of Sicily so I'm not sure. I like the design but I duno. My cousin is an artist and big into Italian culture so I asked her to help me. Hopefully she can figure something out for me.
