Fun Facts About Sorority Alumni
 

Hey There,
I'm now working with Western Michigan's Director of Recruitment to gather ideas for our recruitment. She had the idea to make pins that had fun facts about sorority women and their accomplishments written on them. For example, the last bachelorette, Jen Scheftt was Greek. The wife of the creator of the muppets was Greek and the story goes that Fozzie Bear was created after Al "Fuzzie" Bear...the mascot of Alpha Xi Delta.
I was wondering if any of you had ideas from your sorority's fun facts.....
Any fun ideas would be very much appreciated.... Thanks!

What a fun idea! We did something somewhat similar with a bulletin board on our campus, and I got a lot of information from ariesrising's greek pages.

*Women (plural) are alumnae (pronounced alum-NEE)
One woman is an alumna

One man is an alumnus
Men (plural) are alumni

Mixed gender (plural) together are alumni

A mnemonic-- the men's EYES always wander to the girls' KNEES.
Alumni---Alumnae.

Hence:
The University Alumni Association
The Sorority Alumnae
The Fraternity Alumni
