Laguna Beach = Fake?

Lo's webshots are being seen all over, I just got the link through one of my sisters.

Her real name is Rayne, LC is Kaley, and Morgan is Chris.

AND I think "Lo" is a DG at Santa Barbara, because in one of the pics her and her friend have anchors on their arms.

I wonder what else on the show is made up?

Last thing I heard, that account was BS -- some random kid stole the pictures from her friend's account and renamed all of the people.

Honestly, if the show was entirely scripted to the point where people actually had different names, don't you think somebody would have brought that up before now? A Laguna Beach High School student saying, "Hey, these kids don't go to our school"? A UCSB student saying, "I know that girl . . . and her name's not Lo"? Come on.

I was wondering if Lo was in a sorority though. Do we have anyone from UCSB on the boards who could confirm or deny?

That makes sense.. although someone would have to have absolutely no life to take all the time to do that. Hm.

That DID occur to me that it seemed like it'd be easy to leak the truth from people at UCSB or their high school. I thought it would be kinda weird cuz they always work their names into conversation, and going through the trouble of nicknaming Lauren "LC" would be a little much.

I checked UCSB's Greek Life website, but they didn't have a DG chapter website listed, just a picture of the house and some random facts. I bet it can be googled though.

I don't know if it's true or not, just thought it was interesting.

Right. And we at GC know just how desperate those with no lives are. So creating a fake webshots album to discredit an MTV show actually seems kind of tame.

ETA: Pluuuus, if you read the captions, they have a ton of British terms in them (loo, holiday, mum, etc...) Not something I'd exactly I'd exactly expect from Lo.

I would def go for saying she's in a sorority. I mean if you look at some of the pictures, it'd just make too much.

My guess is that it's either someone being totally lame, or maybe even her getting her pics online without the whole world being able to find them, but I still think the 1st is much more likely. :)

The site is made up. Most of the pictures are taken from other webshots. They don't have made-up names. Check out the site below--its one of the girls that made a minor role on season 1. Im guessing this is where this british guy got his pics from...

Their names aren't made up, just wanted to clarify. My boyfriend grew up in Laguna and knows all those kids (his little sister was in the senior class last year and is friends with those people, but didn't sign the release to be on the show!).

Don't know about Lo being a DG, but seeing as I'm one I should be able to find out. Hmmm. If I hear anything I'll let you all know.
