Another AI
|
Hi everyone!
Thanks Smartblonde! I really appreciate the welcome...I wasn't sure if I "was allowed" to post on this board yet, at least until I "officially' start my new member training with my sponsor, Coleen. As it stands now, I will be initiated in with the Fall new member class of the Delta Sigma chapter at Florida Tech.
As I have said on the AI thread, I am so very excited about becoming a sister of Gamma Phi Beta and I will do everything possible for you all to be proud to call me a sister. My journey to becoming a Gamma Phi may have been different as an AI, but I will pour my heart and soul into my new wonderful life-long sisterhood! I look forward to getting to know all of you much better! :) -Stephanie (Floridatish) |
Welcome and congrats
Welcome, there are quite a few of us AI's here so don't worry about having a different track. Enjoy your time as a new member and look forward to initiation. It is amazing and beautiful and will all be a blur afterwards. I can't wait for the next class to go through so I can see it from the other side :D
Maybe I will remember it from the other side LOL. |
it is great! i'm glad it finally worked out for you! i remember your PM from when I first joined and then i read your AI search thread. i always wondered if it was Gamma Phi and now i know!
congratulations again and i hope you enjoy it as much as I have! |
Welcome and congratulations! I was initiated as an AI almost a year ago and I'm still just as excited now as I was then. You will LOVE being a part of GFB!!!

Welcome to Gamma Phi Beta! :)

And since most of you don't know this, I am going to share this little tidbit about Stephanie. She'll just have to forgive me. :)
A couple of months ago she purchased one of our badges on ebay (through a BIN before the CCs got to it) with the SOLE purpose of sending it to IH. That would be how I first came into contact with her. |
It's OK, Melanie, I forgive you...:)
When I saw the badge on ebay, it was after I had gotten to know the ladies of my local Gamma Phi Beta alumnae chapter. I came across the badge and saw it had just been listed with a Buy It Now price and rather than see it in the hands of a collector, I snapped it up for a GREAT price...Our local alumnae president, Coleen, is a Crescent Catcher and we talked quite a bit about saving badges. I began to see how much the badges mean to the sisters of Gamma Phi. It turned out to be a badge from 1913 that belonged to a charter member of the Omicron Chapter in Illinois. My first initial contact with Gamma Phi was because of yet another badge that I had seen on Ebay. The rest is history! -Stephanie :) |
The badge story is beautiful!! Welcome to our sisterhood. I am so happy for you!:)
