Dark Side of The Rainbow

Ok so I heard about watching The Wizard Of Oz along with Dark Side Of The Moon a while back but just never got around to watching it until a couple of days ago. I only got to watch about the first 50 minutes of it and I was skeptical cause I just thought it would be too ironic for it all to work out.....but it was crazy! I dont know if I "made" it coincide or not but it was really neat. I want to watch the whole thing through now. Has anyone else seen it?

I've seen it. And yes, it's pure coincidence. Remember, when Dark Side was created, the CD technology wasn't created yet.

Yeah I know what you mean....but there some places where the lyrics work out with the movie too. I definitely don't think that PF purposely put it with it.....one because I dont think their minds were in anyway focused on everyday life much less the wizard of oz and two because you can watch the making of that cd and nowhere does it make any reference to the movie nor is there a screen to watch the movie. It was just neat to watch and damn good cd so if nothing else you got that out of it!

It's definately creepy how accurate the song is. I remember thinking, whoa, this is messed up.

I never really got when you were supposed to start both. I tried to watch it with a videotape and a music cassette a while back. I got confused!

You are supposed to start the cd on the third lion roar at the beginning of the movie.
"The first indicator that the setup is correct: The transition from Speak to Me to Breathe syncs with the fade-in of producer Mervyn LeRoy.
Note: In the prologue, the word "Time" (one of the songs on the CD) is written with a capital letter even though it isn't at the start of the sentence. Also you will find the word "Heart" capitalized in the middle of a sentence -- a sound particular to The Dark Side of the Moon. "

I watched it and not in the right state of mind. Will definitely trip you out even more than sober.

You can do it w/ out a cd, just synchronize 2 cassettes or records. It's definitely weird.

i've always heard it called

the dark side of oz...when did it transition?

Yeah that's what I always heard to do. But it was a spurr of the moment kinda deal for me. But I can only imagine cause I was freaked out and completely conherent!

Yeah, first time I saw it, I was on something. It freaked me out big time.

Okay, maybe just because I watched it sober -- but I honestly didn't find anything all that crazy about it. There were some places where they matched up, but they were pretty clearly coincidences.

I didn't you think you were supposed to watch it sober.

Well... everyone says to watch it high but I couldn't cause my roommate and I just walked in while it was on and started watching it. I still thought there were things that were weird about it. Maybe it was just because I was expecting it to coincide.

My friends and I used to do that all the time.
I also know that you can take another one of their albums and put it with Alice in Wonderland but I'm not sure which album it is. Its pretty cool too.
