Interested in SGR
 

Hello Everyone!

I would love to be apart of Sigma Gamma Rho. I've wanted to be apart of a GLO while going to college, but the university that I attended only had two sororites which did not interest me. While going to college, I did not know that SGR even existed until I watched "Showtime At the Apollo" one Saturday evening. At the time "The Apollo" had a segment that featured sororites. The featured sorority for that week would perform a mini step show. When SGR was featured, I noticed how the ladies stood out from the other organizations and showed real class. From that point on, I started doing research and decided that this was the organization that I will strive to be in. I've contacted a graduate chapter in my area and God willing, I will reach my goal.

That Apollo show you mentioned was some time ago. When did you graduate if you don't mind my asking? Good thing you are doing your research. I just wanted to "belong" to a sorority but I am soooo glad I did my research! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I graduated in 1997. I waited a long while before deciding that this was something that I wanted to pursue. Like yourself, I did not want to just belong to an organization before doing research. I also wanted to be able to fully commit myself to an organization and at this time, I can.
