Quotes & Poems
Does anyone have any quotes or poems about sisterhood & sorority life? I just got my big and wanted to start a quote book for her. I have only one or two...anything is helpful and appreciated. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

See if you can find any books by Susan Polis Schultz - she has a lot of great sisterly-type poems.

Someone once posted this on the board & I thought it was so sweet I saved it.
"The Greek That's Written There" It makes little difference The size of your pin Whether it's large or small, And if its plain Or brilliant with jewels Is of no concern at all, But the vows that you took Along with your pin, Have you worn them constantly, Quietly, deep in the heart Where no one looks to see? Have you touched the stars You reached for once In your own small piece of sky? Have you striven for the honorable, The beautiful, and the high? What difference then The shape of the badge, Be it Diamond or quill or square The important thing is How much do you love The pin you chose to wear? For one-liners I like Ani DiFranco, even though she can be controversial. Look at the one below I use with my sig. To me this says a lot about where we are at this stage in our life.
"Its a long long road, its a wide wide world, we are wise wise women, we are giggling girls." [This message has been edited by Trish (edited November 13, 2000).] |
This thread is so old, but I had to say...Susan Polis Schultz is a D Phi E and writes the BEST stuff for these situations! :)
