Sorority parties?

Just curious what policies are at different universities.

At my school, sororities aren't allowed to have parties, (supposedly out of the fear that the sorority houses will turn into brothels). All the sororities have houses, but most or all of them prohibit alcohol on the premises as well.

Do they have these rules at your school too???

None of the NPC sororities anywhere can have parties or have alcohol in their house. It's not a school-dictated thing. Locals might, depending on the school and their chapter rules

This was on a previous thread and someone found something that stated they are all "old wives tales" .. it was from a reliable source.

And yes i believe almost all NPC sorority houses are alcohol and substance free.

We do have parties in the house (really a dorm)-Each sorority and fraternity has a welcome back party (deferred recruitment, so it gives the PNM's a chance to start knowing the sororities) They are not like crazy parties, just people dancing and talking, stuff like that. They are alcohol free, and there is to be NO alcohol/drugs in the house at any time-National and School Rules.
