rushing as a junior too!
hi guys! :)
for the first two years of school, i went to wright state university. i'm finally transferring to miami university in the fall, which i've wanted to do all along. i was never interested in joining a sorority at wright state, but i know that it's huge at miami, and now i'm interested in giving it a try! :) i will be a junior in the fall. what kind of chances will i have during rush? :) |
I'm assuming Miami of OH? It's a nice school...I go to Otterbein....gotta love the small liberal arts schools in OH.

yes it is miami of ohio!
i was hoping there might be some advice :( . i have a few groups in mind that i'd like to join, because i have friends from high school in them, but i think it might be harder since i'm a junior...:( |
I would suggest that you registering first for recruitment. Also contact the Greek Life office at Ohio and ask is they have ever had jr. go through. I know that we have had jr. go through recruitment and got initiated into a sororty. But good luck and hope you find a place in Greek Life.

I go to Miami University.
We have deferred recruitment so you won't have to worry about it until January anyway. I'm going to be honest and say that it will be extremely difficult for a junior to get a bid at Miami. Most groups highly prefer freshmen. |
good luck to you.

I rushed as a junior. It is extremely hard and I cried every night of rush because I was cut by so many houses. My advice to you would be to keep a positive attitude. Some houses accept juniors and some do not (even though they TELL YOU that they do). Just know that it's not you and don't give up... I almost quit after Prefs I was so discouraged. Stick it out until the end and keep your head up!
