Is this presumptuous?

Hello ladies. I have a question for you. I read on another website that sisterfriends should not refer to themselves as "prospective members" of any organization because it sounds presumptuous. I know that I have referred to myself that way before and was wanting to know if that is the wrong thing to do. I do this mainly because that's how Greeks usually refer to us. The ladies that posted this info on the other website were not members of your organization.

On my campus, we are referred to as "interests".

in my area the term "prospect" or "prospective" is used by members of the organization...

but I'm pretty sure every area is different. In refering to yourself I'd suggest using the term "interest" though - just to be on the safe side!

In my area we use the term prospect too. The only time I would see it is being presumtuous, would be if the prospect just knew she had an automatic claim to our world of SGRHO.
