It's Official

Well it is official no one, but me, is willing to be on corp. board anymore. My VP was going to quit within the month and my treasurer just quit. I am so frustrated I don't know what to do! AOIIkristi is trying to help find others, thank goodness. Any ideas on where to go from here????? Sorry this is more of a vent of frustration than anything else. Thanks for listening!

Where are you Ms. Peach? Let me know and I'll see if any of my Nu Beta sisters are in your area that I can contact to help you!

Peach,

Sorry you're dealing with this. One idea would be to try the directory search on our website and plug in Statesboro and other nearby towns and send out a plea for volunteers. One thing I've done was list job titles, responsibilities and the average length of time per month the volunteer would be "working". I ended up recruiting about 11 ladies for one chapter.

HTH. And I hope you get other ideas. You might also check with your CNS to see if she has any ideas as well.

<<<HUGS>>>

This might be hard to swallow, but if they are going to quit, let them. Now breathe, deeply. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! I promise!!!

Also put the 911 out to your CNS, local alumnae chapter members, and AAC members if you haven't already. While you're at it, consider contacting alums within a 1-2 hour radius if need be. What about community resources? Do any of the current active alums have a spouse who might be willing to be a board member? Is your Corp solid enough to hire an accountant to deal with the income & expenses side of things on behalf of the board? If so, it might be a beneficial move both for short and long term operations. Does the chapter use Omega Financial or FMA (or something similar)? While I'm on a roll, does the chapter have a parents' club? Any moms who are AIs who may be willing to help out?

Other than that, maybe work with your CNS to review your current CB bylaws to see if anything can be streamlined to make life easier on the CB volunteers. Other than recruiting new board members, are there any pressing summer projects planned/in process that also need your attention before school starts?

If there is **anything** at all I can do to help please do not hesitate to call, pm, email, whatever. You know how to find me.

Go get 'em, Kristi!

Roses,
Christin

Amanda - I am an Alum from Southern. I live in ATL, but I will be happy to volunteer if you need the help and the distance won't be a problem - I don't get down there too often (except during football season). Just PM me with more info, or questions.

Thank you everyone for your support. I was a little stressed out yesterday. Things are starting to look a little better, thank goodness it is a new day. I now wonder what I ever did without knowing any of you and where I would be today if i didn't vent my frustration yesterday (probably the looney bin :) ).

Thank you!!!!!!!!!
