i need informal recruitment help!
 

we have informal recruitment the first week of september which is held in our houses (smaller houses with 3 floors and 11 girls). We have a philanthropy night and i was hoping to come up with a new and fun activity for the PNMs. In the past we have decorated cards and pots for local womens shelters, made cards and packages for troops, etc. i was wondering what other little activity we could do with our PNMs, preferably along the lines of domestic violence awareness. Lastly, i hope to do a coffee shop theme for one of the nights....any decoration ideas?? all ideas are welcome...thanks!!

You could decorate tiny fabric tote bags and fill them with travel size toiletries for the women's shelter - most women end up there w/o anything at all, especially luxuries like fancy soap, perfume, cosmetics.

You could put together children's crafts packages for the shelter kids - doodle pads, crayons, markers, etc.

This past recruitment, my chapter made fish out of a bar of soap and a washcloth. They were wrapped in colored cellophane and had a googly eye glued on. It was a toy for the shelter kids to play with and something the mothers could actually use. It sounds kinda silly but it ended up really cute and worked really well.
