Our (Georgetown's) Alumni Org has been more active in the past
2 years than it ever has (well, at least in 30 years!).

- We have a lunch in Louisville about every 2 months.
- We had an alum event at Keeneland racetrack in Lexington
(though it was rained out this year)
- We're having our first annual golf tourney in about 3 weeks...
several signed up already
- Alums published their first ever newsletter in February
(done by alums instead of actives)
- Alums established an Educational Endowment Fund for the
active chapter (donations tax deductible!) last year.
- We have an annual "day at the ballpark" in May
(Lexington Legends, local pro minor-league team)
what includes catered food.
- Alums organize Homecoming activities every year along
with actives

We have a great AA president (Bill Beams) as well as
other members of the AA (Alum Assoc) who do alot.
The AA usually meets once a month.

Kevin, glad you mentioned the Minor League Base Ball Game.:)

We have the T-Bones in Kansas City Ks. I did a thing last year and was a big hit. Not expensive like the Majors.

One of the other Alums picked it up from last year when I did it and had a great turnout.

This can be a Major thing, Costs. Some new Alums feel like they cannot afford a lot, but the idea is to make it available so that as many can come and not feel stopped by money.

We had a lot of Alums still living in the School area who did tail gating at each game and not with the rest of the Alums. I have worked to try to coordinate it so All Alums can and Will be there for Home Comings in the future for a closeness.

The PITT (PSU, Ks) have played for the last 3 Years at Arrowhead Stadium, (Chiefs) and We do a Tailgate and try to tie it in as I started last time for The Food Drive.:) I had a trunk full for sure + checks.

Had our Golf Tourney again this year and had a great turnout, not for the golf, but just communing with Brothers and Nature. Some Great Prizes were donated and the director did a fantastic job.

Kevin, great ideas, and Give B B My Very Best!

Having a Hold 'em tourney here in August with a few alum friends and work buds, etc....

Still a good way to reconnect.
