Miss Montana (Miss America) is a KD from Nebraska
I just found out that Miss Montana is a Kappa Delta from the Univ. of Nebraska.
Sidney woman preps for Miss Montana duties By BRAD FJELDHEIM Of The Gazette Staff Miss Montana has been tying up her parents' phone line in Sidney with calls of congratulations since she was selected Saturday night, but she knows that when the calls stop, there will be something else that requires the services of her newly acquired position. "It's going to be a busy year," said Sophia Steinbeisser, 21. Steinbeisser, a 2002 graduate of Sidney High School, would be a senior next year at the University of Nebraska, but her new duties require her to take a leave from her pursuit of a business administration degree. "Academics are important to me, but there are a lot of things you can't learn in a book," she said. "Some of those things I will learn from the Miss America pageant." Steinbeisser won the Miss Montana crown Saturday night in Glendive and will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship, which she plans to put toward student loans. At the Miss America pageant, she will compete for up to $40,000 in scholarships and may receive various other scholarships and prizes. read the rest at: http://www.billingsgazette.com/index...75-miss-mt.inc |
