Susan Komen beanie bear

Hey, girlies! I'm not Zeta (I'm G Phi B), but I saw something today that was SOOOOOOOOOO cute and that I'm sure some of you have seen. I was shopping at a Carlton Cards store at the mall, and on the beanie baby display was an absolutely precious pink Susan Komen bear with a little pink breast cancer awareness ribbon sewn over it's heart. It was only $5.99, so I got myself one. But I thought of you ladies ... this is your philanthropy, isn't it?

I've had one of those beanies for a few years (he sits on my desk at home).

He's called "Cure" (10/10/03) and he is adorable - and for a good cause.

:)

Yeah I've seen those they are sooo cute. Also Build A Bear has a breast cancer research bear. Only thing is they don't sell them in stores you have to order them online. My boyfriend let me order it and a little shirt for her for my birthday. She is pink and has a pink ribbon on her paw, and her little shirt is white with ZTA in pink.

That sounds absolutely adorable. I'm going to look into getting one of those.

I've been mistaken once or twice on campus for a Zeta (...as much as I love my own house, I'm flattered! ...) because of all the breast cancer ribbons, bracelets, pins, etc. that I wear. My family lost a dear cousin to cancer last October, and this year both of her parents were diagnosed with different types of cancer. So I'm all for ANY type of cancer research. I'm so glad that you ladies do so much to encourage awareness, and research in this field.
