Very very spooky

Read the story then watch the video.

Spooky Indeed

I read the story but did not look at the video. The still pictures were enough for me.

The thing (demon?) exiting that closet reminded me of the vampire in the Stephen King movie "Salems Lot".

Wild horses could not drag me into that house at night.

Going to HS in Redlands (I moved from there between my JR and SR year), I remember hearing all kinds of creepy stories about the Barton Mansion....

shudder

i can't see anything!!!!

I have heard that it is a hoax similar to the Blair Witch or Amityville Horror. Having seen the video and stills, I am inclined to agree. In fact, I read it described as Scooby Dooish. The photos are so grainy it is hard to tell but is that a Coleman lantern in his hand? I don't think demons carry those. I do agree that the house is creepy looking though.

Wow! I went to the University of Redlands for two years--never heard of this mansion.

I agree that the pictures are enough. I didn't feel the need to watch the actual footage either. Very creepy though.

Uhhh -- I don't know, but just from reading the stuff on the website it sounds pretty fake.

I agree. I can't imagine why the author would have gone back the next night. And why go at night in the first place?

Still, it was a pretty well-written story (spelling errors notwithstanding) and I enjoyed reading it.

That, my friends, is two pictures with some very good Photoshop work done to them. The person sitting in the ring of fire? Please.

The Skeptic ;)

I heard of creepy things at smiley woods too.

My junior year at Redlands (1977) there were 3 students killed. Two in car accidents and one was found murdered in an orange grove near Barton Mansion. (Raped and buried in a shallow grave in the grove).

Of course being HS students, creepy stories would be the talk du jour at that time.

I have to admit, you couldn't get me NEAR that place...especially at night.

Watched the video, made me jump :)

Not sure though on the truthfulness of the story....

Ok, I just did something really stupid.

I'm sitting at my computer in the family room at 12:30 am and I just watched that video. So now I'm here with my back to a set of curtainless french doors which open out to our dark, heavily wooded backyard and I'm all paranoid that there are all manner of spookies out there watching me type and plotting to break the door down and dismember me or something.

Oh, and I'm too afraid to walk through the dark to the other end of the house so I can go to bed.

I'm such a bonehead! Why in the he** did I do that to myself???

Hmmm, maybe my sister is awake and I can call her from my cell phone and talk to her until I get to the bedroom?
