Oh Tom, such language..;)

But seriously, I'm very surprised that Brownback is "exploring" a bid to run in '08. It it had to be anyone from Kansas, I would like Tiahrt myself, but with his son's death last year among the fact that I don't think he's had a lot of large scale noterity, nows probably not a good idea.

(We're on this guy's trail, and all his money. Besides, the 2008 Republican ticket will be McCain and Jeb Bush.)

Forms reveal Kansas senator's finances

SAM HANANEL
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - Sen. Pat Roberts is financially comfortable and Sen. Sam Brownback still has considerable wealth, according to forms released Tuesday that offer a look into senators' personal finances.

But neither Kansas Republican is in the upper echelon of a Senate increasingly occupied by millionaires.

Assets and liabilities on the financial disclosure forms are reported in broad ranges that make it impossible to know exactly how much each lawmaker is worth. The forms are filed annually by the 535 members of Congress, who must report outside income sources, assets, liabilities, gifts, speaking fees and travel paid by special interests.

Brownback and his wife have a blind trust worth $1 million to $5 million. That could help Brownback if he chooses to use some of his personal finances to launch a 2008 presidential bid. It's considerably more than the base salary for senators of $158,100.

His other investments are worth $207,000-$706,000, while Brownback's farm in Linn County, Kan., is valued at $100,000-$250,000. The farm generated $7,530 in income last year.

Brownback also owns a Washington, D.C., condominium worth $250,000-$500,000 and rents a room to fellow Republican Sen. Jim Talent of Missouri for $2,500-$5,000 annually.

hoosier, honeykiss,, I have seen this dud in action when He first ran. Tihart is Nada. Who the heck is He?

Saw Sam the Snake running for His First sqare and shot at National Legislation. He won. I sure as Hell did not vote for Him.

I still havent changed my mind about Him.

Just watch and see Him climb His way up the ladder of ass kissing.

Granted, He really does have more Wealth than Pat Robertson, but He will never be the Man That Pat R is.

Sorry, but when You knew the Best, HST, it is hard to go for anything less.

I think that ticket would be a HUGE mistake. McCain is capable of getting a lot of Democrat votes (including mine) but if Jeb is paired with him, that would eliminate any possibility of most Democrats voting for that ticket.

I fully agree with you on both accounts. I have a certain respect for McCain and I am a die-hard Democrat. However, I don't trust any of the Bush men and wouldn't be even consider voting for a ticket with that name on it.

Well, it seems Sammy Boy will be in the Lime light on saying Yea or Nay on any Bush Appointment to replace O,Conner.

He is getting more and more showing, ergo a push for Pres. Slot on ticket. While it would be great to have anotehr Kansan there, I really dont feel He is the one for it!
