Precious Moments
What are some of the precious moments? Moments that you'll always treasure?
I'll share one of mine. I never realized how much my little sister looked up to me. My baby is in middle school now. It's amazing how quickly they grow up! I remember changing her diapers, when she took her first step, and the first time she put on a sock all by herself! :D The other day she had an orchestra concert, but she didn't tell me in time for me to schedule the day off. I've never been to any of her concerts, because they're during the academic year when I'm away at school, and she started playing when I went to college. She really wanted me to come, but I had to go to work. Nonetheless, as soon as I got off of work, I went straight to her school anyway, to surprise her. I missed half of the concert, but I got there just in time for all of her performances! :D She was so excited when she saw me walk in, she couldn't sit still in her seat! She started pointing me out to her friends while she was on stage, before their conductor took her place! Her big sister made her concert! After the performance I gestured two thumbs up. She was cheesing from ear to ear! I'm so proud of her, looking like a little professional violinist! |
Awwwwww that is so sweet of you. I'm the oldest of 5 younger siblings and sometimes I think that I'm not too much of a good big sis. I really think sometimes I work their nerves but I really want the best for all of them. I sometimes even feel like a mother to them. I'm really glad to know that you made her day!!

Awww! That's cute! I think I have a good one, too. When I came home for break, it was really late, so my sister and her son were asleep already. So, to surprise my nephew, I went and laid down next to him in bed and went to sleep so when he woke up, I was the first person he saw. He woke up and looked at me like, "What the hell?!?!?!?" He just got up and walked out...I was so disappointed, you'd think he'd be excited since he hadn't seen me in months! I got dressed and went to the kitchen where he was eating breakfast and he ran at me, screaming and staring at me like his dream had come true...and I figured out why. My mom (over all the yelling) told me that he'd walked into the kitchen telling her about his dream that auntie was in his bed! He couldn't believe it was true, we just hugged and kissed, rolling all over the floor, it was truly precious:-).
