Sigma Women
To my Sorors -- I have noticed that when I attend meetings and social gatherings and meet my sorors for the first time I have so much in common with my sorors!!! I know that I am an outspoken, proud black woman that stands her ground even in the midst of adversity when no one else agrees with me I am willing to "go against the grain" and proudly stand alone. Is this just a coincidence or is this a Sigma trait and that is what drew us to to this marvelous, AWESOME sisterhood?

i definitely agree with u. i noticed that all the sorors in my chapter are individually different like night and day. but when it all comes down to it everyone knows that we are all SIGMA WOMEN. there is just something about a SIGMA WOMAN that it took three tries before there was a masterpiece http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif
anyway...here are some more characteristic i noticed about our BLUEtiful soRHOrs. no matter what the situation is we always carry ourselves with elegance. everyone loves to hang around us because we are down to earth. we are all as cute as poodles http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif i can go on but i won't!!!! ------------------ the sexiest ladies in the world are laced in rubies and pearls. |
I was downtown in Chicago last night and I was just walking around and had this little pouch on the said SGRho on it. I heard one of the loudest most beutiful eeeee-yipps and met a wonderful soror who I just didn't wanted to sy goodbye too.
It is so amazing how you can have a bond like that with someone you "just met." |
*bump*
i love being a Sigma Woman. eeee yip! |
Being a S is the best!
Latest S moment: As I walked through my part-time job, I saw a blue and gold keychain in a woman's hand, so I had to ask which organization she was in. When I saw the letters, I turned my greeting into, "EE-YIP, soror!" We hugged and talked for a while as she waited for the rain to clear. She held her Sigma umbrella, and I just mentioned that I hadn't bought one yet. She just gave it to me like it was nothing. Of course she had two more in the car, but I loved the thought that she had enough love to make a simple gesture to a soror she just met. How BLUEtiful is our sisterhood? |
Wow!
That was very nice :) |
Did someone say....
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-Yip! Just checking. :D
lol Want to know why? Just read my tag line. Thanks! |
I am suffering from a severe case of umbrella envy :(
I have seen a real love of family from Sigma women. Sigmas love their kids, their sands's kids, their great-auntie's play cousin's ex-boyfriend's maybe, their parents, foster kids, etc. It continually amazes me when Sorors I have never met before treat each other like the Queen of the World when we meet, because we are Sorors. This love shows to others. Once I was shopping with an older soror, the owner of the store said to my Soror "Oh, it's so nice how close you two are. Is she your daughter?" My Soror replied, beaming from ear to ear "No, she's not my daughter, she is my Sorority Sister!" :) :D :) :) :D :) :D :) |
Eeeee Yip :D
