I'm thinking of changing political parties

For some reason I don't feel that I share the same beliefs that the Republican party exhibits/exercises anymore. The more I watch of president Bush the more I don't like him. He seems so dumb when he talks, anyone ever notice this? He appears to be a lot smarter when he doesnt say anything.

They often say that it is "wiser to keep your mouth shut and have people think you a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

Perhaps those should be more of a watchword for many of us.

Like with me. I used to like being a republican.

The loons and extreemists took the party over. Its no fun any more.

The RNC convention is just a few years away from a cross burning.

To quote Reagan and change out democrat with republican, "I didnt leave the Republican party, the Republican party left me."

Get rid of:

Katherine Harris
Karl Rove
Dick Cheney
Rick Santorum
Trent Lott
Tom Delay

And I might consider going back.

Rudey 06-09-2005 10:33 AM

Well I have heard that the Democrats are planning on protesting against integration in the South at their next convention.

There's hope for you yet! :) I'm so proud.

Well, for being a conservative he's blowing money like he's a Democrat and I can't stand that. And have any of you ever heard his replies when he's not reading a script? We're bogged down in Iraq and he still hasnt done anything about Social Security!! Not to mention the tax issue, when is he going to actually abolish income taxes and make us all just pay a flat tax???:(

The only thing that is stopping me from switching right now is Howard Dean. Have any of you actually been listening to this fool lately???

-Bring Joe Lieberman back!!! :D :D

Let's start with her first. I really, really, really dislike her. She said the other day that she would be running for Florida Senator. I'm happy to say that I'm no longer in Florida.

Really? Where did ya find this out. I'd be interested to read about it.

Overall, dems have been progressive on race since the early 60's not including the Dixiecrats, who were more Republican in beliefs when compared to todays Republicans.

BTW, Mr. Moderate, President George H.W. Bush (41) once accused Texas Democratic US Senator Ralph Yarborough of being a leftist because he voted FOR the Civil Rights Act. Like it was a bad thing or something.

Link to the article here.

BTW, Lawton Chiles was cool. Better than Baby Bush.

And I might consider going back.

KH - FL elected offical who did her job, got elected to Congress, now headed to Senate

KR - campaign manager, did well with what was available.

DC - a lot of maturity and knowledge

RS - ?

TL - I'm glad he's out of power, since he had no backbone or leadership ability, others such a Dean and Byrd get a pass from the mainstream media when they say more offensive things

TD - mainstream media has convicted him, although he has not been charged with anything

If these people bother you, you might be happier with the Dems; happier, at least till the election results come in.

He looks familiar. Who is he?

President Bush is not a polished public speaker, and it pains everyone to see him try to communicate a simple idea. But he's surrounded by competent, intelligent people that help him make the decisions that he can barely translate into words.

The fact that we're "bogged down" in Iraq is something that will last years. If you think the Democrats offer a better solution, you could switch parties on that particular issue. But changing parties would not bring you any closer to getting your flat tax (which is a bad idea, anyway.)

It also is unfair to say that President Bush has done nothing about social security, when in fact, no one has (yet.)

The Republican party loves you, baby. If you think leaving us for the Democrats will make you happy, do it. But that skank can't love you like we can. oh no.
