Further proof: global warming is a hoax
Baby, It's Cold Outside
"An attempt by two men from northern Minnesota to cross the Arctic Ocean to call attention to global warming ended this morning because of poor weather conditions," reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune: Lonnie Dupre, 43, and Eric Larsen, 33, were forced to abandon their planned 100-day, 1,200-mile trek after encountering unexpectedly heavy snow storms, strong winds and unusual ice conditions, according to Jane Kochersperger, a media officer with the environmental group Greenpeace, which co-sponsored the trip. One isolated case does not an arguement make...
If you doubt the veracity of global warming I'd suggest taking a look at the far north... oh wait someone already has: 125 Large Northern Lakes Disappear http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/125lar...NlYwMlJVRPUCUl Quote:

If it's OK, I'll take the word of more and more scientists who are agreeing that global warming is a fact -- especially those who were highly sceptical before.

I thought that the concept of global warming also involved the mixing of seasons, such as cold weather in the summer and warm in the winter? I would freely admit that I'm wrong, though, as science was a yawner for me.

Those of us who deal with frigid winters realize that we rarely get big snow storms when it's really really cold (below 20 F or so). The really big snow storms happen here when it's close to freezing. Ice also occurs near freezing. When it's super cold, it's a dry powdery snow. Therefore, this could make sense that the storms are worse and more icy now that it's slightly warmer.
