How did you find GC?

I googled in Pi Kappa ALpha message board one day and it brought me the Pike Board. The Pike board was so dead. I was reading messages from like 2000 or so. I registered, and for about a year and a half and I did not know there were other forums to greek chat. I only thought each GLO had their own forum and thats it. So I never logged in again. Until one day I was searching through my favorites and I remember bookmarking this, and I clicked on some sorority girls profile because she had posted in the Pike forum, and it showed her last message in "Dating and Relationship". so i clicked it, and whhhhalah! here I am today!

Thanks GC for saving me from boredom....
and uh thanks GC for distracting me from what I really was suppose to do. bunch of punks

I was searching for AXiD jewlery (lavalieres, dangles for my badge, etc.), and some thread came up. I read for hours. :) Then I went home and registered. I've been hooked ever since.

I was googling for something APO related and found that forum. I looked at some other orgs' forums too. I was a longtime lurker before I created an account, though.

I've "discovered" GC twice, and I don't remember how it happened either time.

About a month ago I found that I registered with GC back in 1999 under a different screen name. It's one of the oldest screen names on GC, but apparently I never posted (probably due to lack of activity on the board). I don't remember how it happened then, and I don't remember how I re-found GC in 2002, but I'm glad I did! :)

I was looking for Phi Mu message boards when I came across GC. :)

I looked up sororities when I went through recruitment in 2001. I lurked for awhile before I registered, and it took awhile for it to become a regular "boredon-buster."

I wanted to know if I could join one NPC sorority after going through initiation in another. I typed in greek chat/forum/message board and voila GC showed up!

I did find GC before that, but I don't remember what I was looking for - that was when the Hatchett drama was going on.

When I found out that Tri Delta was coming to Elon last summer, I did a Google search for Tri Delta and I came across GC. Granted I've only posted 315 or so posts in the past year, but I've learned a great deal about other organizations and Greek Life in general.

A little bit of topic, but was anyone on the CollegeHumor forums before they shut down?

I really can't remember. LOL! I know I was on my way to becoming a Theta Woman. Maybe I was looking up something TNX-related?

I was looking for information for my friend's daughter, as she was interested in rushing.

Peaches-n-Cream 06-02-2005 08:56 PM

I searched sorority and found GC. I lurked for quite a while and joined a year or so later.

I think I was googling the different sororities at my campus during rush and came across it that way if I remember correctly.
