Eagles Farewell concert

DId anyone catch that on NBC tonight.......LOVED IT! are they just not touring any longer or not touring and not recording together any longer?

Great show! At some point they mentioned that the name was a tongue in cheek spoof. One of the guys said they can do a lot of Farewell shows as long as they keep numbering them. They will probably be around for a very long time!

Eagles rebroadcast

Check out Bravo tonight at 9pm EST - my TV listings show a rebroadcast of last nite's show!

epchick 06-02-2005 12:03 PM

Yeah they are gonna show it on Bravo tonight at 8/9c

I'm gonna have to record it because the Eagles are my mom's favorite and we won't be home at that time!!

I went to their live concert when they came to Greenville, SC. They were awesome! They were better live than they were on the TV. I caught it about 9:30 pm so it only had 30 minutes left. I know they're going to release a DVD on June 14 so guess who'll be in line for that one! ME!

BTW, this isn't their farewell tour. It IS a tongue-in-cheek title though. Don Henley said it on the live tour in Greenville, SC and on the TV special that it wasn't their final tour. It also says it in the program. Just a spoof on those who were popular back in the 1960's and 1970's who say they're not touring again but keeping going on and on and on (i.e. The Rolling Stones).

They are still touring and recording. They just laugh b/c its their "first" farewell tour. They say at the concerts they could be like 10 or something.

I love the Eagles....I've seen them 5 times in concert. Hotel gets better everytime :)

I just finished watching the DVD of the TV concert! The Eagles must have known I was in love with Joe because they show a lot of him on the DVD. Made my horrendous day a little bit brighter (well, to watch my man Joe on DVD).

haha I love Joe too! I used to kid my mom "are you sure he's not my real dad?" :p

UKDaisy, I asked my mom the same thing! LOL! I have always been accused of wearing "costumes" because of my "Joe Walsh" sense of clothing style. If anyone has ever seen Joe, you know he has an eccentric clothing style all of his own. Well, I seem to be slightly attracted to outrageous pants like Joe. For instance, I have a pair of Tommy Hilfiger red paisley pants. What can I say? Not a typical ZTA pair of pants! :p

You just have good taste ;)

Thanks UKDaisy! You need to come talk with my family because there's some days that I think I really embarrass them with the outfits I pick out for myself! LOL! :D I was going to wear my paisley pants to the Eagles concert back in March to support my man Joe! You know . . . so he wouldn't be the only one with wild pants. I went with my dad and he had the tickets. He told me he wasn't going if I didn't go back and put some blue jeans on. Oh well. Poor old Joe.
