Good news for me!

(First, the backstory)
I moved from Woodbridge VA to Sterling VA in Nov. of 2004. I contacted HQ in Jan. about my move. I waited and waited for someone to contact me about joining a chapter here, but I never heard anything. It got to the point where I had decided not to renew my membership in Sept. when it would run out.

So I decided to contact HQ again, letting them know that I had not been contacted again. I received an e-mail the same day, saying a letter was being sent out to the VP of the city council. I received a copy of this letter. On Saturday, I received a voice mail from the VP! Unfortunately, I didn't get ahold of her until Tuesday (I was helping friends move all Memorial Day weekend). The VP is FVing a new chapter. They had a get-together on that Tues. (which unfortunately I missed), but they are having another one in a few weeks. The VP told me that she would e-mail me with more info when they scheduled it! I'm so excited! She said that she has been in Sorority for 11 years, and a few of the other women had been in Sorority for a while, but there were several "newbies". I can't wait to meet these sisters and get back into BSP full-force!

Just wanted to share my great news with everyone (and to let all of you out there still waiting to be contacted know that it will happen!).

Just wanted to let everyone know, I got an e-mail from the VP, she's having another get-together on June 28th! I'm so excited about meeting these women and maybe helping form a new chapter! Just wanted to share my good news!

Our first official meeting is Sept. 17th! We've got a great group of 10 ladies (5 already in Beta, 5 newbies), plus a few more women looking into our chapter. We've all met a few times over the summer, but this will be our first meeting as an official chapter. We don't have a chapter name yet, but the paperwork has (I believe) been sent in to HQ. I'm really excited, these women are wanting to do a lot of "hands-on" service projects, which is something that I loved from my APO days in college. I just wanted to share my good news with everyone!
