Why do you think people make such a big deal over this and how do you feel about it?

I wish I understood why it was such a big deal to many. I guess it's the fact that many had to endure so much to 'earn' their letters, but what does hazing have to do with sisterhood/brotherhood? I think the attitudes of many are changing and I really think that's a good thing. Showing disrespect to someone who went through MIP instead of pledging is wrong. A soror should be judged on the work they're doing within the organization not the process they went through to get in.

Couldn't have put it any better!! We're all here to work, so let's get it done!!

I swear to goodness I hate this whole argument. I wish people would realize that doing the work of the organization is more important than the way one was initiated into the organization.

Making a big deal out of it won't change the protocol...suck that ish up and keep it moving.

I completely agree with everything that has been posted because what good is "pledging" if you don't do work within your sorority and then you end up just being a letter wearer and maybe inactive
