Congratulations to our new National Secretary, Emily Ashby McIntire!

Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority Welcomes New National
Secretary

Birmingham, AL: May 22, 2005: Alpha Sigma Tau is
pleased to welcome Emily Ashby McIntire, Alpha Lambda,
as the National Secretary, effective immediately. As
the National Secretary, Emily is
interested in streamlining the chapter reporting
program and updating the awards.

Emily is a graduate of Radford University in Radford,
Virginia with a degree in Business Management. After
serving her chapter as President, Recruitment
Coordinator, and Historian, she continued her
involvement as an alumna by serving as National
Historian and National Chaplain, among numerous other
roles. She has also been honored by the Sorority for
her many contributions. Emily is a member of the
Detroit Alumnae Chapter and has served as the Alumnae-
Collegiate Liaison.

As an avid school volunteer, Emily has served several
schools in various offices in the parent teacher
organizations. To support the music programs, she
served as band booster officer for a number of
years continuing her work in fundraising, coordinating
volunteer talents, and organizing concession sales.

Her interest in education led her to become a
substitute teacher, and she has worked in that
capacity for 13 years. Emily is married to Mike
McIntire, a facility manager for ArvinMeritor. They
have one son, Timothy, who is attending Tennessee Tech
in Cookeville, TN.
