Rob and Amber Get Married: tonite, and the final of Contender, also worth watching.

Watching it right now. Anyone spotting Alpha Gam references (other than the dried roses)? :)

I'd rather gouge out my eyeballs with a rusty nail file than ever hear or see either of them again.

Now now...you KNOW that you wish you could have an avatar made with their faces on it....you LOVE THEM....mwah ha ha ha..... ;)

I only watched bits and pieces so I didn't see any squirrels running around:( her bouquet was red and buff roses (or were those the dried ones?) and I didn't hear our Alpha Gam sisters serenade her but oh well..it's not like they invited me to the wedding!;)

Best of luck to them. I hope that they beat the celebrity wedding odds and make it past their 3rd year anniversary.

I fell asleep on the couch before the actual wedding. I wanted to see Rob's reaction to the painting and Amber's reaction to the house!

I was surfing and caught the last part....their minister was wonderful

Great way to get married-- have CBS pay for it! I would not want someone else picking out my wedding gown. From what I could tell, it was picked out for Amber and she did not get to see it until the fitting.

I kept getting the feeling that CBS was making the rules for this wedding and half expected them to determine who should be added to the wedding list. Almost expected to see the boyfriends from Amazing Race showing up and making snide remarks

Don't know where you say that because I could have sworn Amber mentioned that she and her sister each had a hand in designing the dress with Arlette. Arlette's a local Beaver, PA designer, wasn't she?

I think she helped design it, but she didn't get to see the final product until she went in for the fitting.

It's always fun to see an Alpha Gam get married.

Now I'm off to go collaborate with Nic because we're gonna design some BAD ASS Rob & Amber LiveJournal user icons...just for valkyrie.

Yes, Amber picked the designer (the wedding planner was actually upset because he wanted someone famous to do it but Amber insisted on a family friend) and she was involved in the design. She told the designer what she wanted and the designer drew it on the spot. Then the designer was getting upset because she needed to do a fitting before she could do the final stitching and Amber didn't have time. She had one fitting 8 days before with her mom and sister there, and her sister was crying. It was probably the most "real" moment of the whole wedding prep.

Yep, she is. My roommate knows her (had dance class with Amber as a kid, and that Arlette lady or whatever her name was used to work at the dance school. My roommate says the woman's SO strange).

I was not a fan of the dress, but as long as she was happy with it that's what counts.

I liked the special. Wondering where Amber had her shower, if i'm right on where it was, I think it's a pretty fancy place that a lot of people have their weddings at. Guessing CBS paid for that too.
