Sweetie... writing all of that doesn't put you anywhere closer to finding the ideal man. It just pushes you further away from reality and dating a real guy. The more you expound on that "ideal" guy and all of his wonderfully imaginary characteristics, the more distance you place between Mr. Ideal on the pedestal and Mr. Real, who may not be romantic, but could be a great guy anyway.

I'm reminded of some quote (total paraphrase, forgive me Original Author) about when you fall in love, you do it because of their imperfections, not in spite of them. Finding someone to share your life with isn't about finding someone ideal, it's about finding someone you can mesh with.

Fantasy and Reality are two totally different things.

To gain a firm grasp on each without losing touch with the other is truly "ideal."

Yes, holy poopy.

I'll defend her a little bit here because she has the basics there, in my opinion. Committment, Trust, Friendship, Physical Attraction and Mental Attraction are all necessary for a successful relationship. In fact, I'd add similar value systems and marital expectations to that list.

That was random.

I never meant that to say i need to find someone exactly like anything I listed, and by ideal I didn't mean someone that has to have each one of those characteristics I mentioned, it was just someone who has all the attributes, (which wouldn't happen, because people aren't perfect) is ideal or a fantasy, and I used fantasy because the people listed were famous. thats all. I know what the differences is between reality and fantasy, I'm not stupid. It was merely a device to explain what characteristics I thought were good to have. :p No need to rat on me for it lol
