Anyone gone Pan Hellenic?

A few girls in our chapter are talking about starting a up committee to see about going pan-hel. I was wondering what other Sigma Alpha chapters are both pan-hel and profeesional and if they think it is really worth doing. I was also wondering if it created any problems with the alcohol issue. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
commando

We (Iota Chapter) are panhel. It seems to be going very well. I believe we are associate panhel or something like that. Basically that means we can do what we want. Right now we participate in greek sing, and have sister sororities each semester. That is about it. If you want more info. E-mail sigalpha@mail.uark.edu

The Nu Chapter is panhellenic and we have a bitter-sweet relationship with them. Some of the sororitys are very welcoming, but some insist that we aren't a real sorority because we don't have a house. We have a lot of support from the directors of greek life, and I think that is vital because sometimes I think we would be pushed out if it wasn't for their support. There are some advantages though, such as participating in greek week and other activities. It works for us, but it really depends on how your chapter feels about your panhellenic group. Good Luck!

Howdy, I am the rush chairman of the Alpha Pi chapter at Texas A&M University. We were activated last april so this year will be our first as a real sorority. I am currently looking into registering our chapter with the office of greek life. Could someone please get back with me and let me know if you are panhellenic and if it has helped with membership any. Thanks
