Not to mention the drinking in the "Bid Night" album... wherefore art thou, NPC Manual of Information?

tunatartare 05-14-2005 10:42 PM

I've seen this album before. A lot of other girls from this chapter also have pictures from hell night up on their webshots albums. I think that not only is it a risk management issue, but it's also an issue of the girls' stupidity if they're gonna put pictures like that up for all the world to see.

eeek....
a bit stupid to put it all over the internet

I'm surprised they're nationals hasn't seen that... are they a national sorority?

The girls are wearing ASA shirts, so yes, they're NPC. I don't know from which chapter, though.

Bloomsburg University

The photos are of the Bloomsburg University chapter. The college name is evident in their composite and the composite of the AChiRho chapter in many background photos...Plus, the photo book owner has actually used the pledges real names on the photos...

Did you check out their photos from Bid Night in the other photo album? Did they not think that people could see the pictures of them "pre-gaming at Gena's" funneling beer? I think that in 90% pf the pictures they all have a beer bottle or alcohol bottle in hand...

I'm not trying to judge them, but isn't this the kind of stereotype that GLO's are trying to dispel?

This isn't gonna turn out well......

Is it just me, or does the very last picture show a fairly well established bar?

I sort of suspect that this "Hell Night" was at a fraternity house instead of the sorority house.

A couple of University of Colorado sororities were busted for hazing a couple of years ago -- but the events were at fraternity houses.

tunatartare 05-15-2005 12:06 PM

I saw other webshots albums from girls in that same chapter. From what my understanding of them was, the events were held at the sorority house, and afterward they just had a party with a fraternity in the fraternity house.

Honestly, there is sooo much stuff that people put in their online photo accounts that could get their chapter into trouble. I can count three different sororities on my campus alone that have pictures of themselves drinking in the house, etc. up in their webshots accounts.

I wouldn't be surprised if nationals started to take action based on reports using online photo albums as evidence. I know there is a group on my campus whose nationals monitored their partypics.com account and would punish them for any violations caught on film.

Honestly, how stupid do you have to be to put pictures of yourselves online when you're clearly doing something against the rules of your organization. And it's not like this is some minor infraction, either . . .

Funny, a group at my school just had to argue with the PartyPics.com people to get some questionable photos removed before their national personal caught them. If you're going to break the rules at least attempt to be "stealth" ;)

Our chapter has an established media policy where individual members can only post content (like pictures) on the web when it's been approved by our exec.

Discotish 05-15-2005 12:45 PM

Some of the photos were taken at an ATO house and an AChiRho house on Bloomsburg U. However, a number of the photos from hell night and Bid day were obviously in their house/suite. Their composites are on the wall and signs all over the place...

damn, for a hell night...they sure look happy.

i thought it's supposed to last a couple of weeks?
