Fundraising
 

Just wonder if any of you guys have any good ideas for fundraising for the fall (i.e. parties, events, etc.) that we could think about and put together over the summer.

the Pikes at my school had a Pike princess competition-- each sorority nominated 2 ppl...they put out cups with the pictures in front of the cafeteria they only did it for one day, and then they grilled out that night, and raised more there. They raised close to $200 (which doesn't seem like much, but it is a small school, and only 4 sororities...so that really is pretty much. Anyway, I think it works pretty well b/c all the girls want one of their girls to get it...
p.s. I lost by 30 cents... :(

Pike Princess, that sounds like an idea. So what was the "prize." Like, what did the girl get after she won?
One of the sororities do something like that at our school. They call it Greek God and the fraternities put up guys to be in it and they do it kind of like a male beauty contest. But they just charge at the door.
Thanks for the reply though, and next time you are in a competition like that let the guys at central arkansas know and we'll send you some cash! (more than 30 cents);)

Maybe you all could do a little better!
It was a first year thing, and they were just trying it out, I guess.
Also, maybe try a calendar type thing.. my sorority does that (Men of Georgetown.. maybe you could do like ladies of...) It is a real hit!

We usaly do a Rent A Pike, it is very simple, you just make flyer telling what, when, and where and give them to the girls and then you just start the biding, we have done it 2 year and have made over 1000 this past year.

Yeah we do a date auction every year and always make a killing. We just set a time and date and have all the sororities come to the house and we have a stage and everything set up and the girls just yell out their bids as the guys go on stage. Thanks for the reply.

Yes my work truck is sweet, but beers seem to get me in trouble these days, beers mixed with driving motor vehicles. I will be around this weekend for beers and volleyball however.
