TV One and Star's New Show
 

Has anyone seen or heard of this channel? Its supose to be the competitor of BET. Here is a quick overview of the channel...

We have it here, its ok. I like the G. Garvin cooking show, and Makeover Manor, but mostly its reruns of Good Times, Martin, etc.

Its BET without the ghetto.. but wait long enough and I'm sure it will become just as ghetto.:rolleyes:

We have it here in Indy. I love this channel because I get to see Good Times, Martin, Living It Up with Patty, and cooking in Style with some fione a$$ brotha :)

Thanks ladies. It's coming in my area in June and its been touted as an alernative to BET so I was wondering what the hype was about. :)

I like it! I like the show with Cathy Hughes. I also love the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reruns... I know, its an addiction!

Just got it here. I like it. I'm sure their programming will improve in time. It's a welcome alternative to BET.

We have it in Oakland. It is pretty good. It repeats some stuff (like BET in the beginning) But it is doing well.

I have it here in Philly as well. I do love that it shows 227, Good Times, Martin, and G. Garvin the booking show. I also just got into watching Starting Over, which they started with the previous shows, so I get to see the before shows....Oh yeah One on One with Cathy Hughes is good as well.

I enjoy this channel. My husband and I watch Cooking with G. Garvin and I like Starting Over and Makeover Manor. They also have a show when the restore churches. UNlike some of the other people on the forum i get tired of all the re-runs of Martin and Fresh Prince, because they are soo many other channels. I like to watch Good Times and 227 though.

Will it have the equivalent of the porn programming that BET has?
