Educator Kenneth Clark Dies at Age 90
Date: Monday, May 02, 2005 By: Associated Press NEW YORK -- Kenneth B. Clark, an educator and psychologist who spent his life working for racial integration and improvement in the education of black children, died Sunday. He was 90. Clark's pioneering study on the effects of racial discrimination was cited by the U.S. Supreme Court in its historic 1954 ruling in Brown v. My African-American Psychology class basically know about him. He also researched black girls and why they were more interested in "white" dolls than "black" dolls, along with his wife, Mamie. (African-American Studies major):cool: |
