Pikes in the NFL Draft?
 

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if you guys knew how many Pikes got drafted in the recent NFL draft. Also does anyone know if any Pikes were ever selected #1 overall, or in the first round?

So far I just know Kyle Orton got picked up by Chicago in the 4th. I am not sure if anyone else got picked up.

Too bad Kyle got injured this past year. I truly thought we could of had a 3rd heisman winner.

Dustin Colquitt, Punter from Tennessee, went in the 2nd round to the KC Chefs...yes, the Chefs.

Barry Smith
 

Barry Smith (Delta Lambda ' 72) was a first round draft pick in 1972. Barry was All-American and still holds several Florida State receiving records. He was drafted by Green Bay, but spent most of his career with Tampa Bay in its early years. He still lives in Tampa. He and his wife gave the school $2 million for a women's athletics facility, and he gave us $10,000 toward our new house. His son is a freshman football player at Georgia Tech; he wants his son to be a Pike and I can't even get the chapter to respond. Bummer.
