Help!
Okay sisters, I have no idea if this is safe to say here, but I am going to go for it anyway. My path in SAI has turned to into a very bumpy and cold one, and I kinda need some inspiration, some words of wisdom, some loving words from fellow sisters, something. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I don't really want to go into detail on why things are the way they are, but I am hoping others have had this period of doubt, so if you have and you have some words that might help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks:)

Sandy,
I am struggling with the very same thing. Fortunately, I have a wonderful roommate and sister who listens and encourages me. We look to the ritual for inspiration. Maybe I can send you what she sent our whole chapter? It was beautiful and perfect for Gamma Eta... I don't know your situation, but maybe it would help. -Gwen |
Thank you Gwen for your response, I am ever so grateful. I sent you a message. :) Much love and many roses!

I think just about every experiences a bumpy path along their collegiate GLO "career". Remember that this too shall pass, and when it's over, SAI will still be there. I had some rough times with my college chapter but I almost feel like now I'm being "rewarded" with an AWESOME alumnae chapter experience!

that's awesome sairose! cre to share some of your alumnae experiences?

It's more of an overall experience as opposed to any isolated incidences. The women in my chapter get along really well, and we always have a lot of fun. I've met several awesome girls through the chapter, and now they're part of my "inner circle" of friends.
I love it when an older member that the chapter hasn't seen in a while comes back to the chapter. I should explain first that alumnae chapters have "inactive members". These are members who pay reduced dues, do not have voting privillages, but are free to attend any of our events and receive our newsletter. They generally can not be active members due to health reasons, taking care of young families, very demanding careers, etc. So, this one inactive member who has been with our chapter since the 1950s has recently become active again. Her enthusiasm for SAI hasn't waned. It's so cute to see her singing the chorale with all us youngsters! It just proves that SAI is for a lifetime. My college chapter was ok, but I love LOVE my alumnae chapter! |
