Horrified at Site - Is it just AKA?
I was looking at the UC-Berkeley Greek Life website (looking at all the CA Greeks for personal research)...
So, check this out: http://www.calgreeks.com/chapters/nphc/aka.php Take a look at the link for the "National Website." After checking that out, don't miss "Details." Is this some kind of incredible joke? A hacker? What????? |
My guess is that they needed to put something there as a placeholder and the site maintainer was too lazy/stupid to find a member of AKA and get the correct details.
|
Maybe a lost domaine name for site.
God is this a big peice of crapola site! Hell, got to hate cyber at times! |
My guess, there is more to it that laziness--- run your mouse over the national website and check the link. :(

I would personally contact the school but I think it would be more appropriate for a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha to handle it. |
i'm sorry but that is tacky and incredibly disrespectful
someone needs a lot of discipline and taught to respect all glos no matter the conference. |
That is definitely more than laziness.
But, a lot of their links are messed up. I looked at our page (from the panhel page) and the link "website" just goes back to the same page......... |
It's a little odd that they don't have the webmaster's email address listed anywhere on there to report mistakes...
Also odd is if you use the link to navigate to the NPC sororities' pages, they are all filled out with accurate information. |

YES, THAT IS SOMEONE BEING A GIANT JAGOFF. |
wOw!!!
Calling all AKA's!!!
Someone needs to do SOMETHING about this. I'm not really feeling the whores.com |
How did you find this?!?!
|
I was checking out sites for Greek Life in California and just happened upon this. I first started looking after reading an older thread about a fraternity that started recently at (I think) Berkeley. It's a BGLO called Theta Phi Psi if I recall correctly. But I don't see them recognized at Berkeley.
ETA: Aha! http://thetalife.com/ |
I can live with clicking on the website brings you back to the website, but what was done to AKA is UNFORGIVABLE!!! It should be reported to the University AND to the Greek Office.
And if I were an AKA at USC, I would seriously consider a slander suit! ETA: May I suggest that these Advisors be informed of the horror shared by all Greeks, in respectful, but adament tones? I already have. Greek Affairs Advisors Director of Greek Life Tina Barnett (510) 642-7950 barnett@berkeley.edu Greek Advisor Tiffany Jones (510) 642-5709 thjones@berkeley.edu |
Btw, Jeni - thank you for bringing this to our attention. Maybe we as a Greek Community can make a difference!
