incredible news!
We just had an Alumnae initiation for a woman who is 90, or near it, who was a founder of the Phoureffs, which is the group our chapter was in 1935 before becoming the local sorority of Delta Chi Delta in 1944, and then Alpha Delta Pi in 1953. Her daughters and granddaughters were in attendance and it was very special. I thought I would share with all of yall cause it was really neat!!

And then they all attended Founders Day!! I have pics and I'll try and upload them tonight! She was SOOOOOOO cute and sweet!
Lycria & T*P, she also gave a gift to the chapter at Founder's Day. She presented the girls with a silver platter engraved with her name (I think) on it. This story is going to be in The Adelphean!!!! :-) |

Oh yay! I can't wait to read the story in the Adelphean! |
YAY!!!!!!
When I was initiated, one of the Phoreffs was in my group. It was so great to talk with her and ask questions about what sorority life was like back then. Her big sis was there and was initiated 2 years prior with our, then, chapter president. It was amazing to speak with them both!!! They are such wonderful women!!! I think we have initiated 6 total now at UNT. :D And a good majority of them have daughters and granddaughters that are adpis!!!!!! |
