voting on rushes
 

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with secret ballots and what your chapter did to resolve the problem. We are having a tough time with the secret ballot. Let me know!!

What kind of problem?

We never used secret ballot in the Eta Chapter. All comments were openly voiced about rushes. We're a smaller group with fewer rushes, but it seemed to work well. Maybe a different approach would work well for your chapter. Just a thought.

Hi, I'm Kim from the Alpha Eta Chapter. I was rush chair last year. We had a problem with the secret ballot, because everybody wanted to know the outcome. My suggestion, is to get rid of the secret ballot vote and just let everybody know what the vote is.

May I suggest checking the bylaws (National) with regards to the voting procedures themselves? There are some ways this needs to be done.

There is a difference between the discussions after rush and the ballot itself.
